I made some code changes to the next.config.js file in my Next.js application, but the changes aren't going into effect in my application.

My next.config.js file contents:

module.exports = {
  env: {
    "ENV": "development",
    "DEV_API_URL": "URL",
    "STAGING_API_URL": "URL",
    "PRODUCTION_API_URL": "URL"
  },
  images: {
    domains: ["URL"]
  }
}

Any ideas on why this is happening?

After making a change to the next.config.js file, you'll get a message in your terminal similar to this:

> Found a change in next.config.js. Restart the server to see the changes in effect.

Once you restart your Next.js application, the changes should take effect.

Restart your Next.js application and the changes should be seen.
